Healing isn’t perfection +5 easy steps towards better health TODAY!

Healing is not perfect

Healing is not perfect, it is not linear, it is not the result of extremes!

Do you need encouragement in your healing journey?

A small word of encouragement for someone looking from the outside in to the window of making a change for their health:

Healing isn’t ALL or NOTHING!

Change can come from small steps starting where you’re at, then working towards YOUR greatest potential! What it takes for one person to feel better may not be what it takes for you. Extremes are not apart of a healthy lifestyle.

That means abiding to a way of healing + living that is causing you more stress than before is not conducive to your goals!

Yes, making change means sacrifice, but it shouldn’t feel like a struggle every single day. The only plan that will work for you, is one that is sustainable and fits your lifestyle.

ANY little (imperfect) step you take today will result in tremendous benefits in your body and feeling better tomorrow!

That doesn’t mean you have to climb up the entire staircase.

Just up one step at a time, at your comfort level, at your pace, until you see the results you’ve been looking for.

If you take one small step today, you will look back a year from now and see you have come so far!

For example, the way I live and nourish my body today with juicing and lots of raw produce was not how I started my healing process. I started by educating myself on what was really going on inside my body. This knowledge led to empowerment. No my body isn’t attacking itself, my body is protecting me, and I can help my body by feeding it the foods it needs to win this war. My mind had to be strong before my body could begin to really, fight.

I started by removing dairy and gluten. That was a HUGE first step. It was hard, and I made mistakes at first. But now I don’t have to put any thought into it, nor do I miss these foods. My body no longer craves them as I have been able to heal and detox the pathogens that were thriving from this part of my old diet.

Maybe removing foods isn’t something you’re comfortable with. There is still SO MUCH you can to do heal like adding in the right foods, focusing on educating yourself and listening to your body!

5 EASY steps towards better health today:

(1) How do you start your day? Do you start immediately with coffee? Coffee may not make or break your healing journey but first thing it will further dehydrate your body and zap your B vitamins for the day. If you would like to keep your routine coffee, that is okay! Healing doesn’t have to be extreme. Just add in a living water to hydrate firsthand. More on living water benefits!

(2) What is your breakfast like? Do you start your day with foods that TAKE ENERGY from your body to digest like bacon, eggs, cereal, granola bars? Or could you begin your day (after you hydrate with living water of course!) with a fresh smoothie full of LIVING enzymes that will bring you vitality and healing first thing? For a great smoothie recipe click here. If you don’t have time in the morning you could prepare a fruit and green smoothie the night before and store in a mason jar in your fridge. Don’t eat breakfast? Have a smoothie for your first meal of the day mid morning or at lunch!

(3) What do you eat for snacks? Fruit is easy, portable and kids love it. Don’t fret over the “sugar” in fruit. There is a ton of fruit fear circulating. Fruit is best eaten solo. It is the fat and high amounts of animal proteins & supplements we eat fruit with that impede the rate of glucose absorption, leading to high blood glucose after carbohydrate consumption and weight gain. Plain and simple: EAT THE FRUIT! HAVE NO FEAR! Eat the fruit by itself, or combined with other fruits for best results. :)

(4) Do you eat living foods at dinner? My dinner faves too include sauteed veggies and my favorite, SWEET POTATOES! However, I always try and include a fresh, living salad or fresh veggies (raw) and fruit (raw) on the side. The living enzymes in the raw produce are incredibly nutritious and will help aid in digestion if you are consuming cooked plants, meats, and oils.

(5) Have you connected today? I don’t mean on social media or by email. Have you taken a minute to breathe a few deep breaths today and pray or meditate? Prayer and meditation physiologically alter your blood chemistry to a more favorable state that promotes feel good hormones as well as stimulating your immune system at the same time. If you’re dealing with a great deal of stress and inflammation in your body, this daily practice is pivotal! When you slow down to connect with God you may even receive direction about the steps to take to heal your physical body. I know I did!
